My findings and analysis :
1.Use natural color ( Reason : In this collection , D&G is inspired by a legend . "The legend is told in the Sicilian town of S. Alfio that there is a chestnut-tree which is 3000 years old and that beneath its inviting branches Queen Juana of Aragon and her one hundred knights took refuge , surprised during her journey by a storm . And it is below these centuries-old branches that the Dolce & Gabbana woman looks for her roots, once again finds her nobility, rests and relaxes in the safety of old certainties . " So , we can see that in this collection , D&G present a collection steeped in the traditions of the rustic Sicilian lifestyle . Also , Stefano Gabbana calls this "rustic glamor" .
In 11/12/2001 , China joined the WTO . It is a great news in the world as China rise in power quickly . I think this news may influence a bit of D&G Fall 02 RTW . For example , as China is a famous agricultural country full of resources , it may remind the designers for their home country . For example , in Sicily , Triticum , Zea mays and fruits are famous . For the stage , there is a tree showing this theme .
There are natural colors like white, beige and brown , with a hint of black in order to show the feeling of the "Sicilian lifestyle" .
2.Use Black and White ( Reason : Brown and cream is the main color of this collection to create the feeling of country . Besides these two colors , almost half of the outfits using either white or black . These two colors are commonly used in D&G's collection )
