06 Dolce & Gabbana Fall RTW

My findings and analysis :
1.Use Red , Golden and Blue ( Reason : In this collection , D&G are "advancing into fall with Napoleonic zeal—literally. So , the color are in baroque flourishes . At the start of their show, a tableau of hussars and Empire beauties rose into view on a revolving plinth, arranged around a ceremonial black monolith emblazoned with the Emperor's laurels" . It shows that this year , D&G are inspired by Napoleon .

As seen , there are details like ''Military tailcoats, cut in shearling , along with tight knickers and jodhpurs with high riding boots marched out , followed by legions of coats in brown and beige , all detailed with gold buttons or leather straps and brass hardware transplanted from saddlery" .


Besides the details , the color used can also show the theme . The color used in 06 Fall RTW , are mainly in baroque flourishes---the vibrant red velvets and antique golds to create a strong statement of luxury, refinement, and elegance" . It is inspired by The Coronation of Napoleon in Notre Dame , the 1804 painting by David that hangs in the Louvre . D&G also use "Touches of royal blue and emerald green to show regal opulence .

From the painting , we can see that gold and red are the main color .

Also , I think another painting are also related to the color , I show it below .



As we see , many paintting about Napoleon using red , gold and blue . These colors are mainly used in 06 Fall RTW .

2.Use Achromatic Scheme ( Reason : As we see , black , white and grey are really D&G's preference . About one third of the outfits using these three color . )


In this year , I like the first outfit most and I show it below . The reason is the monochromatic scheme show the unity of the outfit and the buttons are beautiful and perfect match . Also , the coat is so beautiful .
