Color Forecasting of Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2010 Ready to wear

This is the color family I forecasted .

First of all , I forecast that Black , White and Grey will be used . The reason is these three hue appeared almost every year especially Black and White , its seems they are must-have color for Dolce & Gabanna . Although Grey did not appeared in 2001-02 , they are used in 2003-09 . Dolce & Gabanna loved black and you can refer to the blog I posted before "Relations with pop culture" .


Besides , I forecast that Red will be used . The style and image of Dolce & Gabbana is Sexy and Innovetive , I think Red can show this qualities . For example , Red show hot and sexy . I think Red in low value is prefer to Red in high value because Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter Collection's hue are usually low value .


In addition , I think Blue will be used because blue is another hue appeared in Dloce & Gabanna collection often . Except 2005-06 , every year use blue . Reminding that Red and Blue are traditional color of Sicily and Mediterranean . Another reason of using blue may because Dolce & Gabbana want to show luxury and blue is oftern in the anient Europe for upper class .


Finally , I forecast Beige , brown and yellow because they are also commonly used . However , these three hue unlike Black , White , Grey , Red and Blue , they are less common . However , since the influence of Sicily and Venice and Dolce & Gabbana always mix the feeling of "Country" and "Luxury" , these three hue are also appeared in the Fall/Winter Collection often .

Besides , I find that Dolce & Gabbana like using the Achromatic Scheme through Brown and beige and yellow . Everytime , when Dolce & Gabbana used Beige , there is always brown or yellow .

I forecast that in 2010 Fall/Winter , Dolce & Gabbana will use the hue to show the "Country" lifestyle and should be in low value hue .

There are two reason for the above "country" forecasting .

First , for the past ten F/W collections , five F/W collections including 2001-02 , 2006-08 , mainly use low value hue and show the country feeling . Although some of these years , there are a few outfits using Red or High value hue , the major hue used in these collections are low value hue .

Besides , for the past ten years , there are intervals between the hue used . What's means by "interval" ??? I discover that after using high value hue , the next will be tended to use low value . Although the year using high value or low value may continue in the next year , there is still a trend . For example , after 2000 "middle east" , 2001 adopted "country life" and 2002 have "Sicilian lifestyle" . Also , after 2008 "old-school feeling" , there are tribute to Elsa in 2009 . As 2009 using shocking pink , yellow etc , I think in 2010 , the collection will back to "country" .

Especially in 2008 , there was a Economic Tsunami , it is a chance for the brand to back to the most natural situation and feeling the environment instead of just talking about money , money and money .
