My findings and analysis :
1.Contrast in color ( Reason : In this collection , the inspiration is Marilyn Monroe which is the seductive spirit of film icons showing the sensual, flirtatious feeling . This collection , D&G wanted to show such feeling .
Besides details like a form fitting black satin mini dress opens the show worn with an oversized nylon neon orange parka or Pinstriped tailored suits offer new proportions with a transformable jacket that unbuttons into a vest , D&G also use color to show the spirit .
For color used in 03 Fall RTW , Contrast is key. "Techno nylon pants are paired with romantic fringed embroidered flapper tops , floral silk flirty dresses are worn under oversized nylon parkas with brightly colored strap details . Optical prints in skirts , tops and dresses are contrasted with brightly colored fake fur jackets trimmed in sable or mink . Vivid primary colors punctuate the strong presence of black , a perfectly tailored canary yellow belted coat worn with solid black hose and optical print shoes is one of the highlights of this fresh use of color and contrast" . It measn that the high value hue match with black or low value hue .
For the first outfit , it is a bright tangerine parka slung over one of the duo's signature pieces , the black corset dress . This outfit I show below . It was a combo that stated a general theme which Stefano Gabbana described as "techno romance".
We can see contrast in these outfits :
2.Use Pop color ( Reason : As we see , pop color like acid yellow , orange , emerald and royal blue are also used commonly in this collection . These color is to create contrast and the "techno romance" )
3.Use Achromatic Scheme ( Reason : About 25 out of 74 outfits are using black as main color , as black is commonly used in D&G's collection , it shows that black is the designers' perferenc )
